About The Project

As the General Contractor, MBM worked with IMAGE Associates to construct a 24-bed Behavioral Health Unit of the 3rd Floor of Ohio Valley Hospital. In addition to the patient rooms, the unit also has two dining/ activity rooms, two quiet lounges, a large group therapy area, two large staff stations, several offices and a seclusion room. The 15,000 SF space had many obstacles to overcome within the facilities footprint. Directly above the space are Operating Rooms and below is Central Sterile. New plumbing and electrical infrastructure were installed within all three floors and special care was taken through coordination and planning to successfully complete the new rough-in processes. Working hours for the project were mainly evening shifts however several daylight and weekends were included to complete all the spaces throughout. The eight-month project was completed on-time and within budget.
