About The Project

MBM was selected to be part of the Millwork and Casework team for the new WVU Medicine Children’s Hospital in Morgantown, WV. The new 150-bed hospital includes a pediatric emergency department, 17-bed pediatric intensive care unit (ICU) with four beds for epilepsy monitoring, six-bed cardiac ICU, 50-bed neonatal intensive care unit with four rooms for twins, operating rooms, pediatric imaging, cardiac catheterization labs, cafeteria, gift shop, medical office building, and pharmacy. In addition to the custom millwork at the 2-story entrance atrium, each patient room is equipped with custom millwork headwalls and cloud ceilings with colored lighting that is controlled by the patient. Family waiting areas include custom built and installed casework that has “cubbies” for the children to sit in.
