About The Project

MBM was selected as the Construction Manager to renovate and convert the second floor of the UPMC Asbury Heights, Building 7, from an Independent Living Unit into a Skilled Nursing Unit. The project consisted of renovations to the resident rooms, corridors, the addition of a nurses station and associated support rooms such as clean utility and soiled utility rooms. An activity room, bathing spa, nurses lounge, food serving station and dining room were also added. The residents rooms were reconfigured into private and semi-private rooms each with an accessible private bathroom and shower with controls outside of the shower stall. Interior finishes were also updated including the replacement of handrails, bumpers, carpet, ceilings and wall paint.
