At Asbury Heights, in Mt. Lebanon, MBM provided services to remove an existing skylight feature in the facilities mall area and add a new ceiling, roof, and storefront windows to maximize the natural light. The project was planned to work around weather, material availability, and the holiday season. The construction of the project was completed in a 3 month period, all while keeping the existing mall area open. Services were provided to enclose the exterior during demolition through a tented scaffold system, and water intrusion was maintained even through Hurricane Ida with no impact to the facility. New steel supports were welded into the existing beams to ensure structural integrity and special engineering was provided on the header and wall details. Finishes included a new metal roof with gutters and downspouts. Exterior EIFS which tied into the existing penthouse walls. Storefront windows and glass with matching trims and flashings. Interior drywall ceilings, crown molding, and a new lighting system.
